How it works
You choose the apps. The phone allows nothing else.
A Kosher Qin Phone is not a phone you have to police afterwards. It goes out carrying only the apps you asked for, and it stays that way until you ask us to change it.

You pick your apps
When you get your phone, you go through the list on this page and choose what you want on it. One app, a handful, or every app here — it is your call. There are no bundles and no app you are forced to take.
- Step 2
The phone locks to your picks
We set the phone up with exactly the apps you chose and nothing else. Anything you did not pick will not install and will not run — that is enforced on the device itself, not by an app someone can uninstall.

You can add an app later
Changed your mind about something you skipped? Send an app request from your device page. There is a small fee per request, and depending on the app it may need age verification or a parent PIN before it is approved.

Skipping an app now does not lock you out of it forever. Requests are made from your device page, and every one goes through review before anything reaches the phone.
A small fee per request
Each app request costs a small fee, which covers the review and the setup on your device. You are told the amount before you confirm.
21+ ID verification, usually
Most requests require you to verify your age with a government-issued ID before approval. We email a secure link handled by Didit, our verification partner — we only receive your name and date of birth, never a copy of your ID.
Parents can require a PIN
Set a PIN on the device and no app request can be approved without it. The request sits and waits until the PIN is entered — so nothing gets added to a child's phone without a parent.

Common questions
Before you choose
Do I have to take every app on this list?
No. The list is what is available to choose from, not what you get. Most people pick a few. You can also take a phone with no apps at all beyond what it ships with.
What if the app I want is not on this list?
You can still ask for it. An app request lets you point us at any app; we review it and tell you whether it can be approved for a Kosher Qin Phone. If it cannot be filtered properly, it gets declined and you are not charged for an approval you did not get.
Can someone add apps to the phone without me knowing?
The only way an app gets added after setup is through an app request on that device. If a PIN is set on the device, the request stops and waits until that PIN is entered, so it cannot go through behind your back.
Why does an app request need ID verification?
Some apps are age-restricted — usually 21+, sometimes 18+. When yours is one of them, we email you a secure link to verify your age with a government-issued ID. That is handled by Didit, our identity-verification partner. We only receive your name and date of birth.
How do approved apps get onto the phone?
Over the air, usually within minutes of approval. There is no app store to visit and nothing to install by hand.
